Winter 2017 Newsletter

The Committee from East Essex DA hope all our members and friends had a very Merry Christmas and wish you a prosperous new year. We hope to see you, and friends new, out and about on the field during 2018.

At the time of writing, our main website eeda.co.uk is down for planned essential maintenance and will be back online in the New Year with our brand new website, however we are still online on our backup server at www.eeda.co.uk. Why not visit our brand new website now, where you can view the 2018 meets list!

We have a full year of exciting meets planned for 2018, starting with our Valentine’s meet on the 16th-18th February where we have the brilliant party band ‘The Established’. Please book with the steward, Lee Smiles on 07552 733443. We are limited on the number of units we can accept here and after last years popularity pitches will be on a first come first served basis. Evening guests and non members are welcome to the ball.

We continue in March with our working party at the Kelvedon Hatch Club site. All pitches are FREE of charge, hard standing, and include EHU! Due to the nature of the meet you MUST book in advance no later than the 9th March either on our website, or direct with the steward. Details are available here

Our Easter meet is once again at East Bergholt School, where a weekend programme of fun, games, and entertainment has been arranged, along with a visit from the Easter bunny for those who believe. Our all weather site has plenty of hard standing or grass pitches and toilets available 24 hours a day (although own sanitation is recommended). Our AGM will also be held this weekend where we will be looking for new committee members to take the spaces by those who are stepping down. If you are interested or want to know more about being on committee information is available here

Finally we are pleased to announce that the majority of our meets in 2018 will be subsidised for the third year running at just £9.00 per unit per night. This is due mainly to the success of our THS sites and for that we would like thank everyone who helped steward or organise both these and any of our meets during 2017. Without these people we could not have achieved this. If you are able to assist during 2018, please contact us by email sites@eeda.co.uk as we are currently looking for stewards for both weekend meets and our holiday sites. More information on stewarding can be found here
