The EEDA website (www.eeda.co.uk/www.eeda.uk/www.eastessexda.co.uk) is operated by East Essex District Association of The Camping and Caravanning Club, (part of the Camping and Caravanning Club), a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteer members for members. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

What information does EEDA collect?

The EEDA website may collect such information as the IP address (location of your computer on the internet), what pages were accessed and file downloads from the site. Monitoring of such information helps EEDA determine the activity on the website and which pages are most popular. This information is used to develop and improve our online presence. Additionally, in the event of a breach of security this information may be used to aid detection.

Does EEDA share personal details?

No, EEDA does not provide your personal data to any third parties unless required by law (e.g a request from the Police following an incident involving EEDA)

Does the EEDA website use cookies?

The only cookies in use on our site are for Google Analytics or to enable user identification for our members area. Members Area

The EEDA website contains a members area providing exclusive access to areas of the website the general public do not have access to. It is strongly recommended that you do not use a password to access this area that you use anywhere else. The information required to register for this area is only used by EEDA to verify your membership. Different levels of access to members is provided and access to youth pages is restricted to Youth members, Youth leaders, Youth members parents, selected committee members and the web team only. You may cancel your membership to our website at any time by clicking on the ‘Delete account’ butting on your membership profile or by email to website@eeda.co.uk

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

The EEDA website contains a booking feature for events. When making a booking we may collect information such as but not limited to your name, telephone, email and other contact information which is used to confirm your booking with us. In order for a booking to be valid this information is vital to us, but you may request it’s deletion upon the completion of the event.

EEDA Newsletter and Event Alerts

This is a subscription service to which you may unsubscribe at any time, but clicking on the unsubscribe link on any email or by emailing website@eeda.co.uk. This feature operates independently of any other subscription or membership services operated by EEDA and no data is transferred or shared between either source.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
